Refund Policy

Last updated 6 August 2026

Fourteen days, no reason needed. If Docksmith is not what you wanted, write to team@docksmith.app within 14 days of your purchase and you will be refunded in full. You do not have to justify yourself, and you do not have to prove anything is broken.

Try before you buy

Docksmith runs fully featured for seven days on a free trial key — ask for one at docksmith.app and give an e-mail address; there is no account, no payment method and nothing to cancel. We would rather you decided before paying than after, which is why the trial exists and why it is not crippled.

How to request a refund

Email team@docksmith.app from the address you used to buy, or quote the order reference shown in Docksmith → Settings → License. That is all we need to find your order.

You may also contact Paddle directly, since Paddle is the merchant of record for your purchase and the party that took the payment. Either route works.

How it is processed

Purchases are handled by Paddle.com Market Limited as merchant of record. Refunds are therefore issued by Paddle, back to the original payment method, under Paddle's buyer terms. Once approved, the money usually reaches you within a few business days, though the exact timing depends on your bank or card issuer.

Your licence key stops being valid once a purchase is refunded: alongside its update check, Docksmith reads a short revocation list from our own server, and a refunded key stops counting on its next read. Validation itself still happens on your Mac, and nothing about you is sent.

After fourteen days

The 14-day window is a promise, not a limit on our willingness to be reasonable. If something goes wrong later — Docksmith stops working after a macOS update and we cannot fix it, you bought the wrong number of seats, you bought twice by mistake — write to us. We would rather solve it than win an argument about a date.

Your statutory rights

This policy is offered in addition to, and never in place of, the rights you have by law. Those include the right of withdrawal for consumers in the EU and UK, and consumer protection law in Québec and elsewhere. Nothing on this page limits them.
