Focus mode
One chord raises a frosted veil around the active window — everything else on that display blurs and dims. Click another window and the clarity moves to it. Your focus leads; the veil follows.
And while you drag a window, the veil steps aside entirely — it returns the moment you let go. Docksmith never blurs a moving target.
The veil covers the active window's screen — and only that one. Your reference material on the side monitor stays bright and readable. Focus is not house arrest.
Move the window to another display and the veil hops with it.
How deep the world dims is yours to set in Appearance: the frost behind stays constant, and the darkness laid over it runs from light to deep. The same intensity drives the optional landing spotlight, the brief flash that guides your eye to a window you just switched to.
⌃⌘V toggles it by hand; docksmith://focus/on turns it on from Shortcuts. Your evening Focus mode can run a Shortcut and dim the world for you, every night, on schedule.
